“Why were you searching for me?” He asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” Luke 2:49
Statement of faithDMFH is a non-denominational organization dedicated to helping Christian homeschool students think and live in obedience to the Bible in all areas of study. Follow this link to see our full statement of faith.
Our NAMEDMFH draws its name from the passage in Luke 2:41-52. “Discover” means to find someone or something for the first time; students at DMFH will discover Jesus and what knowing Him means. “My Father’s” places the emphasis on Jesus, who perfectly reveals the nature and character of the Father to us. “House” refers to the Jewish temple and synagogue, both symbolic representations of Jesus. In Jesus, God’s presence is among His people. Through Jesus, we as believers form His priesthood. Thus, to “Discover My Father’s House” is to
discover Jesus and our identity in Him and our role to play in the world. |
