Becky Evans – Co-Administrator
Mrs. Evans has been involved in DMFH since its inception in fall 2009 except for a 2½ year hiatus in 2011. Prior to 2009, she served for 12 years as head adminstrator of Solid Rock Enrichment Program as the ministry was previously called. Becky and her husband are veteran homeschoolers of 22½ years to their four boys, all graduates of this program. She and her husband are grandparents to four (and counting!) beautiful grandchildren. Late last year, Becky completed her training and internship in lay biblical counseling. She was invited to serve with the lay biblical counseling ministry team in her church where she has humbly participated. Mrs. Evans loves spending time with her children and grandchildren, enjoys most recreational activities as well as reading and studying, travel, and get togethers with friends and family. "The book to read is not the one that thinks for you, but the one which makes you think. No book in the world equals the Bible for that." ~James McCosh, 11th President of Princeton University
Rachel Davis – Co-Administrator

She has been a part of DMFH since 2007 and is returning for her 4th year as a Co-administrator. Kathy Anderson – Kindergarten and 1st Grade
This will be my 23rd year of teaching for this program. My husband and I just celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary. Our three children are now grown all living in Colorado. We have 3 grandchildren that are a great blessing and joy to us. We really enjoy the moments that we can share together as a family. I have also been involved with the AWANA program for 29 years. I am grateful and thankful that the Lord has given me a heart for children and children's ministries.
Diann Holmes - Chemistry Teacher
Diann, and her husband Cully, have finished 11 amazing and rewarding years homeschooling their three children, Cameron (17), Wesley (15) and Sierra (15), and are now watching with delight and awe as the three of them explore and relish all of the incredible opportunities that await them at their Public High School in Parker. The Holmes children have all been a part of DMFH from 1st through 8th grade and continue to look forward to any opportunities they may have to come back and share the joys of this amazing program. Diann has been an assistant teacher to Kathy Anderson in the Kindergarten and First grade classes for the past three years. She graduated Cum Laude, with a degree in Sociology, from the Colorado University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1987, and also has a strong college course background in Biology, Chemistry and several other physical and social sciences. Aside from her family, Diann's passions are in photography and nature, music, sewing and anything that is artistic.
Cari Lazarony – Writing
Cari is a UCLA alumna (Go BRUINS) who moved to Castle Rock four years ago with her husband and two young boys. She has been volunteering in Children’s Ministry since 2005, and has experience working with children of all ages. She has a passion for the written word and believes that writing is truly a gift from God. Cari has penned several short stories and that she hopes to publish in the near future. She’s a firm believer that C. S. Lewis’ quote, “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me,” was actually meant for her. In her sparse free time, she enjoys hiking with her boys.
Patsy Miller - Joyce - Spanish
Recently, I have been teaching Spanish part-time at Colorado Early Colleges Parker. I homeschooled my children Ana (20) from 5th grade to Junior year then sent her to Colorado Springs Early Colleges through graduation. JJ (23) was homeschooled from 8th grade through graduation.
My mother was Cuban so my family moved to Havana when I was a baby. We then moved to Miami when I was 6 so Spanish is my native language. However, once I learned English I was too embarrassed to speak Spanish so I had to brush up on it in college. I actually ended up going to Law School (U.S.D.) and practicing law in San Diego. After raising my children I decided to teach Spanish.
Besides my children I love my 2 dogs and 4 cats. I enjoy biking, reading, and New Life Church!
Gisella Likens - 2nd grade
Gisella, and her husband, Michael have been living in Castle Rock for nearly 13 years and absolutely love it. They have been blessed with a son Elijah (11), who eagerly looks forward to his Friday’s at DMFH. Gisella graduated from Cal. State Long Beach with a degree in Chicano and Latino studies and earned her bilingual teaching credential for elementary school. She taught in a bilingual Mommy and Me preschool class and kindergarten. She and Michael have been serving together in children’s ministry for over 10 years and cherish their time with children. As a family, they love spending time together enjoying outdoor activities, playing board games and traveling.

Matt Hannigan – Biblical Apologetics
I accumulated a lot of professional experience working on some fascinating scientific projects in over 31 years in the aerospace industry, and another 4 years building high rises. As a Christian for 40 years, with a Bachelor of Science from CSU, and work toward a Master of Science at Regis University, as well as travel adventures in Israel and many other countries, I am eager to pass along my knowledge, life lessons and faith to students working to supplement their home school education.
Helping students think with a Christian worldview in all life situations and studies is one of my imperatives. There is only one truth. But there are many false and counter-biblical ideas that have crept into society and education. We must learn how to handle them whenever they are encountered, and take captive all thoughts to the Lord Jesus. Having a Christian perspective matters...in all of life's matters.
History, Science and Apologetics are subjects that I have an avid interest in, and for which I have accumulated many books, artifacts, and educational lessons. I am a rock and fossil hound who enjoys exploring and digging for the next find. I have enjoyed climbing around archaeological sites, scouring museums, and learning on a hands-on level. It is exciting to impart my passion and real world experience to DMFH students, while making the learning process personal, interesting and even fun.
